Description
Overview
Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water) is a USP-grade sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. The benzyl alcohol inhibits microbial growth, allowing for multiple withdrawals from a single vial while maintaining sterility — a critical advantage over single-use sterile water for researchers working with lyophilized peptides over extended research protocols.
Laboratory Applications
- Reconstitution of lyophilized research peptides
- Multi-use diluent for serial research preparations
- Vehicle control in peptide research experiments
- Compatible with standard borosilicate glass and polypropylene labware
Specifications
